Derby D28 Universal Silicone
Derby D28 Universal Silicone is a one-component (acetic curing) sealing and filling material with a wide range of uses. It provides strong adhesion to most non-porous surfaces, including general building materials.

Application Areas
Used in:

- Isolation of electrical sockets and switches
Application
During application, temperature should be between +5 °C and +40 °C. The minimum joint size should be 5×5 mm. For wider joints, the depth should be half the width. A joint filler rod can be used to adjust depth. Silicone should be smoothed using a spatula within 5 minutes of application to ensure contact with the surface. It can be cleaned with silicone cleaner before curing.
Shelf Life
18 months in unopened original packaging, stored under proper conditions at room temperature.
Warning
- Not suitable for porous surfaces like marble, natural stone, or concrete.
- Do not use on sensitive metals such as copper, brass, lead, or on mirrors.
- Not paintable and not suitable for aquarium use.
- May yellow under direct sunlight.
- Requires moisture to cure—avoid using in fully enclosed areas.
- Ensure adequate ventilation; avoid inhaling curing fumes (acetic acid vapor).
- Avoid prolonged contact with uncured silicone.
