1025 MS Polymer Sealant

Derby 1025 MS Polymer Sealant is a high-quality, durable, elastic, solvent- and isocyanate-free joint filler with versatile use.

Application Areas

Can be applied without primer to surfaces such as:

• Aluminum, galvanized and stainless steel, zinc, copper
• Natural stone, concrete, brick, cement-based coatings
• HPL panels, processed wood, gypsum board
• Various synthetic materials used in the construction industry

Typical applications include:

• Interior and exterior expansion joints
• Assembly of window and door frames
• Roof and gutter joints
• Container and prefabricated structure joints
• Curtain wall sealing
• Bathroom, kitchen, patio installations

Application

Application temperature: +5 °C to +40 °C. Surfaces must be clean, dry, and free from dust or oil. Use DERBYSOLV DV for cleaning, and DERBYPRIMER 25 on highly absorbent concrete. It is the user's responsibility to perform adhesion and suitability tests before large-scale application.

Use masking tape on joint edges to avoid contamination. Recommended joint width: 5–30 mm, depth: 5–15 mm. Use appropriate joint backing rod. Cut the cartridge/sausage tip at a 45° angle and insert into the gun. Apply the sealant evenly and continuously, filling all gaps. Smooth the surface immediately with a damp spatula or finger, then remove masking tape.

Shelf Life

18 months in unopened original packaging, stored at room temperature under suitable conditions.

Warning

• Clean uncured sealant with white spirit or alcohol. Cured product must be removed mechanically.
• All stated times (skin formation, curing) are based on 20 °C and 50% humidity.
• May be painted over, but paint may crack due to joint movement.
• Do not apply under strong sunlight.
• Use gloves and goggles during application. Avoid contact with eyes and skin.
