D250 Liquid Gasket

Derby D250 Liquid Gasket is a high-performance silicone developed for sealing, bonding, and repair works where high heat resistance is required. It is an ideal filling material for joints in buildings exposed to high temperatures. This silicone maintains its elasticity by reacting with atmospheric moisture.

Properties

• Resistant up to 250 °C under continuous exposure, and up to 300 °C under temporary exposure.
• Cures with the acetoxy system at room temperature.
• 100% silicone formulation.
• Fast curing and high strength.
• Resistant to mechanical stresses after curing.
• Remains flexible between -40 °C and +250 °C.
• Does not crack, lose volume, or become brittle.
• Single-component product.

Application Areas

Used in:

• Sealing and bonding in automobiles and other vehicles
• High-temperature sealing in heating systems, chimneys, stoves, and fireplaces
• Sealing of pumps and motors
• Insulation of devices exposed to high temperatures (e.g. irons, ovens)

Shelf Life

18 months in unopened original packaging, under appropriate storage conditions and at room temperature.

Warning

• May cause corrosion on sensitive metals (zinc, brass, copper) and natural stones like marble.
• Not paintable.
• Not suitable for parts in constant contact with fuel, diesel, or oils.
• Use only in well-ventilated areas due to harmful curing vapors.
• Avoid prolonged contact with uncured silicone.
